About Susan: Since first joining MMS Education in 1986, Susan’s role has evolved and changed from Marketing Manager to President and then Chief Executive Officer. Susan’s primary responsibilities as CEO are working alongside the president to help guide the strategic direction of the company. Susan has also served on a number of boards and is currently a Trustee on the Board of Directors for the Van Andel Education Institute. Previously, she served on the Board of Directors for Media Source, Inc and on the Princeton Chamber of Commerce. She has also been a speaker and session facilitator at numerous industry conferences and trade meetings including seminars sponsored by SIIA, MDR and EdNet.

Susan’s favorite parts of her job are solving problems, assisting clients and employees, and seeing the positive, impactful programs MMS helps develop, implement and support. Susan finds joy in knowing MMS has made, and will continue to make, positive differences in the lives and learning of teachers and students nationwide.

Prior to joining MMS, Susan earned a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University of Ohio and held management positions in publishing, marketing and sales. After her experience in marketing at an education-focused organization, she knew she had found her niche, which led to her joining MMS Education. Susan’s work at MMS has given her and her team the opportunity to help clients both define and achieve their goals within the education market.

In her free time, Susan enjoys reading, swimming, spending time at the beach, entertaining and going to the theater.

Childhood Dream Job: I’m living it, having the opportunity to lead a company that makes a difference, produces quality work and provides a positive environment for employees.

If Susan had a million dollars to spend on helping students: Susan would donate the $1 million to one or two organizations with proven success providing scholarships for and working with underserved youth to help them gain the education and skills necessary for future success.
