Fuel Up to Play 60

With more than 73,000 enrolled schools, Fuel Up to Play 60 is the nation’s largest in-school wellness program. It helps students take a lead role in creating and sustaining in-school nutrition and physical activity improvements. MMS Education helped client Dairy Management Inc./National Dairy Council and its partner the National Football League (NFL) with the original program strategy, pilot testing, and full-scale nationwide rollout in 2010.

MMS continues to play a lead role in designing, promoting, and delivering the program in collaboration with National Dairy Council, state and regional Dairy Councils, NFL, GENYOUth, and other partners/collaborators. MMS is responsible for tools, resources, and communications with educators, a Playbook of school-tested action strategies, creating an online funding portal, and administering a funding program that has provided over $22 million in mini-grants to schools and supporting digital strategies, as well as program monitoring and evaluation efforts.

MMS also works with clients GENYOUth and National Dairy Council to facilitate and support partnerships with third-party organizations including Let’s Move! Active Schools, SHAPE America, Presidential Youth Fitness Program, ChildObesity180, as well as corporate CSR and foundations such as Nike, PepsiCo Foundation, and others.
