About Melissa:
Melissa joined MMS Education in 2013. As Vice President of Digital Client Solutions and a Human Factors International-certified usability analyst, Melissa collaborates with clients to research, design and develop digital solutions that align with organizational objectives and engage target audiences.

Melissa’s favorite aspect of her job is seeing the results of the MMS team’s work through teacher, student and client feedback. Melissa finds joy in seeing the impact of the work we do with our clients, from students transforming into young leaders to teachers receiving the support they need to cover challenging topics like social justice.

Prior to joining MMS, Melissa earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia, where she specialized in fine art and sculpture, learning to design and create while navigating the technical rigors of metal and foundry work. In the 1990s, Melissa discovered her passion for learning new communication technologies and went on to manage major digital projects for a variety of organizations, corporate social responsibility programs and education clients, including Citibank, The New York Times, Westchester Medical Center, Capital Health Medical Center, Thomas Edison State College, and Merck.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys outdoor adventures on land and water with her family, sculpture and metalwork, gardening, and caring for a rescued racehorse, a dog and two rabbits.

Childhood Dream Job: Veterinarian – if only she wasn’t so squeamish

If Melissa had a million dollars to spend on helping students: Melissa would fund an organization working to eliminate inequalities in our education system so that all students would have access to quality education, a wide variety of resources and plenty of support regardless of where they live.
