Matt Barry is a seasoned consumer insights professional with over 20 years of experience designing, managing, and analyzing research that drives decision making. He specializes in quantitative methodologies and has worked across a range of industries. Before transitioning to freelance consulting, Matt held senior research roles at major organizations, leading high-profile initiatives for companies like NBCUniversal, IBM, and American Express.

He’s known for his strong survey design and analysis skills and his ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable narratives that resonate with stakeholders at all levels. Matt often works closely with cross-functional teams to shape research that aligns with business strategy and delivers real-world impact.

Outside of research, Matt is also a fine art and portrait photographer. His work has been exhibited regionally—including at Newark Liberty Airport—and he runs a small portrait business based in Madison, NJ.

He holds a BA in Philosophy from Queens College (CUNY) and an MBA in Marketing from Baruch College. He lives in Madison, NJ, with his wife Rachel and their three cats.
