The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Student Series Campaigns are a series of service learning, character education and philanthropy programs designed to engage schools, teachers and students to help in the fight against blood cancers. These campaigns are tailored to various school levels so students and schools can expand their programs within the Student Series and have an even greater impact on the lives of patients with blood cancers.

When LLS wanted to expand their school-based programs, they realized they needed outreach representatives experienced in and knowledgeable about the K–12 school market. LLS reached out to MMS Education to help them quickly recruit schools to participate in the Bring the Change campaign.

Within just a few weeks, MMS Education assembled an outreach team to recruit schools that had never participated or were not currently participating in the Student Series Campaign nationwide. As the Bring the Change Campaign began gaining momentum, LLS asked MMS to assist in one of their biggest campaigns, Pennies for Patients. MMS Education added additional staff to their already trained team and began recruiting schools for both campaigns. In addition to working with LLS at the national level, MMS Education worked collaboratively with the LLS chapters on a local level to help make the campaigns a success for LLS and for the schools.
