Achieving Healthy Schools for All Kids in America

MMS worked with RWJF to convene A Working Forum on Healthy Schools in March 2016, with the goal of exploring systems-level work to make healthy school environments the norm and not the exception in the United States.

Prior to the event, MMS worked with RWJF to host three community-level workshops on healthy schools that used a “design-thinking” methodology in which these community workshops called forth the visions, challenges, and starter solutions of the participants, and helped inform the Forum’s design, materials, and content.

MMS produced a proceedings report based on the Forum titled Achieving Healthy Schools for All Kids in America. Insights from this report helped to inform a new funding opportunity that RWJF launched in 2017 called Advancing Systemic Changes to Promote Healthy School Environments.
