Vice President of Client Solutions
As a key member of the Executive Team, you will contribute to the agency’s overall growth strategy. You will interface regularly with clients and supervise members of the Client Solutions team, providing leadership in the design and timely execution of strategic solutions and work plans.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the President and Executive Vice President in developing and implementing MMS Education’s overall Client Solutions strategy.
- Together with the President and Executive Vice President, establishing and monitoring progress against project and organizational metrics and milestones.
- Managing and renewing contracts with existing clients with the goal of identifying and pursuing organic growth when possible. Supporting the Executive Vice President on overall new business development strategy and help develop new business proposals as needed.
- Working with the Executive Vice President to provide high-level project/client oversight, assuring staff fulfills approved project scope and deliverables on time and within budget.
- Overseeing work quality, deliverables, and client interactions for the Client Solutions team. In this capacity, you will assist Client Solutions team members with establishing implementation timelines, workflows, evaluation systems and all other elements to support clients, following best practices.
- Assisting Client Solutions team members in setting professional development goals, coaching them throughout the year to meet their goals and meeting regularly with them to monitor progress towards established growth goals.
- Working with the Executive Vice President to identify and assess how emerging trends and issues may impact MMS Education’s and our clients’ work.
- Supporting the Executive Vice President by representing MMS Education at meetings with clients and at conferences and other relevant meetings and events, as needed.
Operational Leadership and Innovation
- Develop, ensure implementation, and establish/refine processes and systems to facilitate smooth workflow, equitable and efficient work allocation, quality control, monitoring and evaluation, and communication within and among projects and functional work areas.
- Support the President and Executive Vice President with team building activities and establish innovative initiatives to enhance internal communication and professional learning opportunities for the Client Solutions team.
- Work with the Vice President of Finance on fiscal management for existing accounts and with the Executive Vice President on developing project budgets for new accounts. Responsible for monitoring project budgets, authorizing and monitoring expenditure of funds to support client work and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Management and Organizational Leadership
- Manage the Client Solutions managers/directors and work with them to establish work performance goals, evaluate progress toward goals and assist them in setting professional development goals. Coach Client Solutions team members throughout the year to assist them in progress toward meeting their growth goals.
- Manage, train and mentor Client Solutions managers/directors to help them effectively and efficiently support clients, build project management skills and develop leadership abilities.
- Ensure resources are available to support all Client Solutions team members. Manage independent contractors or outside agencies, as needed, to support client needs and develop relationships with new contractors.
- Contribute to organizational strategy as a member of MMS Education’s leadership team, including the development of annual goals, strategies and desired outcomes, and budgets.
- Provide regular updates/reports on client work to the Executive Team.

- Understanding and experience working in the education sector and a passion for improving education by supporting educators and students.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience working in a leadership position; previous experience and familiarity with the education market highly desirable.
- Team management and program management experience are necessary.
- Proven track record of delivering quantifiable impact to the bottom line with past P&L responsibility.
- Process-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication, as well as strong presentation and executive communication skills.
- Growth mindset and willingness to both lead and do the work needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment across many levels.

Client Solutions Associate
As a member of the Client Solutions team, you will work collaboratively with peers to service clients and help them achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Support the account team leader by managing the copywriting, editing and production process.
- Manage meeting schedules and the distribution of materials to team members and the client.
- Establish and maintain files and ensure all team members and clients have access to materials.
- Develop and maintain implementation timelines, production schedules and advertising/editorial calendars.
- Prepare communications or marketing materials which might include marketing briefs, copy for email marketing campaigns, social media promotion, PR/media relations programs, images to support social media marketing programs, etc.
- Support the implementation of integrated marketing communications campaigns.
- Monitor headlines and trends to keep the account team informed of issues impacting client work.
- Assist in developing program and campaign reports.
Essential Characteristics

Education and Experience
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in digital marketing and communications.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution with a focus in Marketing, Communications or Business.
- Agency experience a plus.
- Some familiarity with market research, competitor analysis and social media.
- Strong software skills: proven ability to proficiently use Microsoft Suite and ability to quickly learn digital marketing technologies relevant to MMS’s work.
- Experience working in a marketing automation platform and adept at using digital marketing tools such as Hootsuite, TweetDeck, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, SharpSpring, Canva, Photoshop and WordPress.
- A strong interest in the education sector.
- Experience working in an education-focused or social impact organization.
