TITLE: Sr. Director of Communications

JOINED MMS IN: 2011

RESPONSIBILITIES: Stacey guides the development of strategic marketing and communications initiatives and resources for clients, playing a key role in MMS Education’s work on a national school wellness program.  Stacey leads work on school stakeholder marketing, communications, content, and activation.

PRIOR EMPLOYMENT: Before joining MMS Education, Stacey was the Director of Marketing at Philadelphia’s Franklin Institute, Pennsylvania’s most visited museum.  Stacey led the museum’s advertising, promotion, membership, and group sales functions, and was crucial in the success of the museum’s traveling exhibitions, including the blockbuster 2007 exhibition Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, which attracted 1.3 million visitors to the museum.

Stacey has a background in journalism as well, working as a television news producer in Baltimore and Philadelphia.

EDUCATION: Stacey is a summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and has a Master degree from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Communication.

PERSONAL: Stacey and her husband, Marty, are big sports fans and enjoy watching college basketball and going to Philadelphia Phillies games.  They also love to travel, making frequent trips to Walt Disney World.  She feels that “the role MMS Education plays in making opportunities available for children to strive for a healthy lifestyle is important and rewarding.”
