Education Apps a Priority for AT&T

In an effort to tap into new ways of helping teachers engage students, AT&T has announced plans to implement the development of education-centric apps and is planning a “hackathon” to help identify the smartest apps.

CNET News has reported that through its AT&T Foundry, a set of innovation centers where AT&T and technology providers team with developers to work on the latest applications and services, the company will invest $250 million over the next five years to bring social media and gaming to the learning process.
